Every website you open starts with a DNS query. Under the GDPR (Article 4), both your IP address and the domains you look up can identify you, so keeping them is a processing of personal data. Many public resolvers store these lookups — and some sell them to advertisers. AEU DNS is built the opposite way: we simply do not keep your queries.
How AEU DNS meets GDPR by design
No query logs
We keep no logs of your DNS queries. There is no history to hand over, leak or sell — data minimisation as a default, not a promise.
EU jurisdiction
AEU DNS is operated by a European team under EU jurisdiction, inside the legal framework the GDPR was written for.
Encrypted transport
Every lookup travels over encrypted DoH, DoT, DoQ and DoH3 with DNSSEC validation — nobody on the path can read or tamper with it.
Hashed, volatile IPs
Operational logging is volatile and IPs are hashed — no plaintext IP address is ever written down.
Oblivious DoH
Oblivious DoH decouples your identity from your queries: the relay sees who you are but not what you ask, our resolver sees the query but not who sent it. Not even we can link the two.
Data minimisation
Post-quantum key exchange (X25519MLKEM768), per-device mTLS and zero-knowledge login mean we hold the least data technically possible — and keep it confidential even against future computers.
